The two pair sequence is one where there are two cards of one rank, with two cards of another rank, like K, K and 8, 8, with any fifth card. For a jacks or better hand, there has to be a pair of jacks, queens, kings or aces in the final hand. The remaining three cards can be any three cards.

One should remember that a change in payout tables alters the player’s Video Poker strategy. One using the Jacks or better strategy on a Deuces Wild machine can expect misplayed hands with fewer wins.
