Playing Blackjack

Play Black Jack 21

Blackjack is quite a very easy game to play, and involves simple mathematical addition. It also goes by the other name of “21”. Blackjack is played by a dealer, giving cards to another person, the player. The Blackjack dealer will then deal the cards for themselves. However, for the cards the dealer places in front of himself, only one card will be facing upwards and the other card will be turned over. When everyone has received enough cards, then the dealer will turn over their last card.

How Blackjack Points Are Scored

The scores received for each card while playing Blackjack is simple. The Ace card can be either worth one or eleven points. While the King, Queen, Jack, and 10 cards are worth ten points when playing Blackjack. The cards from two to nine are worth the face value of the number printed on the cards. For example, a card with a “5” is worth five points. Winning while playing Blackjack involves getting a total score of 21, getting a combined score that is higher than the person dealing the cards.

How Blackjack Games Proceed

The player, in an effort to win the Blackjack game, has different options. First, he can choose to take another card, which is also known as a “Hit”. The player can also choose to take another card until he decides to stop taking more cards, which is known as a “Stand”. If more hits are received and the player’s score points goes over “21”, then the player will lose which is also called “Going Bust”. When the player receives two identical cards, he or she can then separate each card into two different hands. This is known as “Split Pairs”. However, if by chance the dealer and the player both receive the same score at the end, then no one wins and this is known as a “Push” when there is a tie.

Therefore, by keeping these simple rules in mind, players can have lots of fun enjoying the game of Blackjack.
