Each player playing Pai Gow Poker has to pay 5% commission to the bank on each winning hand. You play around a special table that has room for 6 players and the dealer. The dealer starts as the banker and it passes around to each player. Players can decline to be banker if they want. When your not a dealer you play like a regular player. Pai Gow Poker hands have the same values as regular poker but with a twist. The second and third highest hand is a little different than poker. Second highest is A,2,3,4,5 and third highest is K,Q,J,10,9. All suits are of equal rank.

The object of the game is to construct two hands with the 7 cards dealt that will beat the dealers hand. You put together two hands which are called a high hand and a low hand. The low hand has two cards and the high hand has 5 cards. You play with a standard deck and one Joker.

One thing you must remember is you must win both hands. So splitting up your hands to make two good hands should always be considered.
