Video poker is catching on because it will teach you the hands in poker quickly
without the stress of sitting at a table.. It’s very similar to slot machines,
in that there is no table, no dealer and very quick play between bets. It’s
ruled by a win table, which lists all the different poker hands and their
credit values, usually starting with “Jacks or better” (a pair of Jacks or
higher). You are dealt five cards, you choose which ones to hold, then draw the
rest. If your hand matches the win table, you get its credit value. Bet more
and the credit values increase.
The fun really begins when advance to the many different variations of poker.
You can have No Limit, Pot Limit, and Fixed Limit Hold'em, as well as Omaha,
Stud, and Razz. All have different ways of betting and laying down cards, and
you can learn them all!
