Craps Online Guide

Game Of Craps

The game of craps is played with two fairly weighted six sided dice. There are a number of things you should know about the rolling of two dice before you can learn even the very basics of a craps online guide. Both the dice are numbered from one to six meaning that the lowest number that can be rolled by any two dice is two and the highest number that can be rolled is twelve. Statistically the most commonly rolled number will be seven because this is the number that has the most possible combinations from two dice.

The basics to the game of craps.

There is only ever one player who has control of the dice at once. This player rolls the dice to determine the number that will determine the payoff that each of the players around the table can win. The stickman (working for the casino) will slide 5 or 6 dice to the shooter (the player rolling the dice) who will then select two of the and return the rest. The shooter then throws the dice the full length of the table hitting the wall at the bottom. This first role is called the come out roll. The shooter has to try to roll this number again before a seven is thrown. This roll is called the point and point can only be made with the numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10.

Opportunities to Wager on Craps

Craps is such a popular game because of the opportunities that are presented to gamble. Even at the coming out shot players are able to bet on either the pass line or the don’t pass line. Betting on the pass line means betting on the shooter making point but betting on the don’t pass line is betting they won’t make point. From here on in you can essentially bet on whether you think the shooter is going to make point (roll the point before he or she rolls craps). More bets are offered before the coming out shot but a vast majority of craps strategies are based around making point.
