Gambling cheats given suspended sentences for fake IDs
Francesco Baioni and Frank Camilleri are said to have been casino cheats for decades A pair of international gambling cheats have been sentenced after admitting possessing fake IDs for use in casinos.
Italians Francesco Baioni, 64, and Frank Camilleri, 61, struck in China, Australia and the US.
Southwark Crown Court gave Baioni, of Primrose Hill, a 12-month suspended sentence for possessing articles and documents for use in fraud.
Camilleri, of Beckenham, got a nine-month suspended term for eight counts of possessing false ID with intent.
The men have both been given an 18-month curfew between 2300 GMT and 0600 GMT and been barred from all Gambling Commission-regulated venues for the same period.
The duo were caught on CCTV at several London casinos carrying out reconnaissance and using false IDs to attempt to join.
