Connecticut considers online lottery expansion

A bad idea that Gov. Dannel Malloy could put to sleep quickly is a proposal from a Stamford-based company that would make state lottery games available online.
Addressing Connecticut's fiscal problems by encouraging gambling -- and opening it up to anyone with access to the Internet -- is not in the best interests of the state.
The proposal falls into the same category as former Gov. M. Jodi Rell's idea to come up with more revenue by starting Keno in Connecticut.
